Teena served on IFMA’s International Board of Directors for seven years; three years as a director, and four years on the Executive Committee.

As IFMA chair (October 2005 – July 2007), Teena brought a level of enthusiasm to the board combined with her vast industry knowledge and awareness of the needs of the profession – specifically in the area of education – resulting in many IFMA programs and initiatives receiving attention for the benefit of our members.

In July 2006 Teena led a delegation of IFMA stakeholders to China on a knowledge-sharing mission in what was the first significant member presence in that country, but most likely, not the last.  This ground-breaking initiative is reflective of Teena’s career-long focus on improving the recognition and professionalism of facility management.

After completing these seven years of service on the International board, she immediately transitioned to representing the IFMA as a board member for the Brussels-based Global FM federation, of which IFMA is a founding member.

After installing our new officers Teena will discuss her past, current and future work with IFMA and just how we can all contribute to those efforts.

Her focus in the future is to devote significant energy and attention to FM education both within professional organizations as well as in formal university environments with special emphasis on sustainability.

THIS IS AN OUTSTANDING OPPORTUNITY FOR OUR CHAPTER TO TAP INTO THE KNOWLEDGE OF ONE OF OUR OUTSTANDING CURRENT LEADERS OF IFMA.

We look forward to seeing you at the meeting!!
